MiyaHealth, a Singapore-based healthtech firm, has secured $4.8 million in a pre-series A investment round headed by ST Engineering Ventures. The round was also attended by a number of angel investors from the healthcare and private equity industries.

According to the company, the funding was one of the largest pre-series A investments ever raised by a healthtech business in Southeast Asia.

According to MiyaHealth, its solutions make it simpler for people to obtain affordable healthcare, manage chronic illnesses, and enhance the patient experience.  MiyaPayor and MiyaPatient are two AI-driven services provided by the firm. It is also developing a new product suite known as MiyaProvider.

So far, the firm has collaborated with over 12000 physicians and 3,000 medical service providers.

Former CTO of Tokio Marine Insurance Group, and former group CFO and COO of Fullerton Health, Ramesh Rajentheran, started the company in 2019.

The new funds will be used to expedite product development by the business. It intends to introduce MiyaPatient in Europe MiyaPayor in Indonesia, and MiyaProvider in Malaysia in the coming quarter. It will also hire more people at its Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore.
