IT service management firm Airwallex made it known about its official launch in Singapore. This occurred after a few months of securing a Major Payment Institution License from Singapore’s central bank.
By introducing the launch, Airwallex said that it has opened a platform for the businesses in Singapore to now have access to the suite of its payment services. These payment facilities include cross-border and domestic money transfers, online payments acceptance, multi-currency wallets, and global account issuance.
The firm also said that its international clients may now acquire finances in Singapore dollars, which makes them more reachable to the users of the country.
Other Airwallex services are also set for the launch. These include employee cards and multi-currency companies, an API suite for financial services and embedded payments, and spend management.
Airwallex was established by Max Li and Jack Zhang in the year 2015. Since then, the firm has introduced beyond 1,000 employees across 19 locations internationally, which cater to customers spanned around Europe, North America, and the Asia Pacific. The company expects that its Singapore team will quadruple by the year’s end.
Provided by the Central Bank of Malaysia, Airwallex has also lately accessed a money services business license. This has paved the path for the expansion of its services in the country.
